STS-MACS Air Separator
'Multiple Air Chamber System'
A technological breakthrough in precision seed upgrading! The STS-MACS is so sensitive in its calibration that it can separate seed based on the moisture and tissue development of the seed and thus dramatically improves seed germination.
The STS-MACS is a multiple air chamber system which stratifies columns of air and uses this air to separate products. Separation is accomplished by using a vibratory feeder unit to feed the product into multiple enclosed chambers. Air flow is calibrated by digitized variable frequency computers. The user has direct control of air flow levels which allow for precise air adjustments in each column, thus, the desired level of product separation is obtained.

Seed Separator Uses
- General Cleaning:The STS-MACS can widely be ]used to clean seed by removing large particle/granular debris, chaff, inert material, pieces of broken seeds and other light unwanted materials.
- Close Grading:The STS-MACS can be used to "grade" seed based on density or volume weight (e.g., removal of light seed or insect damaged seed).
- Stoning:The STS-MACS is effective for removing heavy debris (e.g., dirt clods, rocks, glass, sticks) from batches.
- Precision Upgrading:Detailed upgrading utilizing a highly sophisticated, yet user- friendly, variable frequency computer which controls air flow in each chamber. This effectively separates partially filled and immature seeds which improves the quality of the lot and, therefore, enhances seed viability and germination.
Proven Seed Separation
The STS-MACS separator has been proven to be highly effective in upgrading product and has accomplished what other processing machines do collectively using only a single-step process.
The STS-MACS has been proven to recover seed losses from other processing machines. As much as 25-50% more seed yield was gained from the recovery with the same or higher germination.
